I recently found out that install zoom for all users of a computer installing the Zoom Desktop Client for Windows that it is installed on a per user basis. I would like to know how to install for all users so that when I update Zoom from my domain profile it will update the client for that computer for all users that login. I do not want to use a GPO as it is only for 5 computers. I appreciate the response on this and although it is helpful it isn't quite what I am looking for.
This inquiry is for a handful of shared computers where our users may not login but once a month with Covid it may be longer now and they already get pretty irritated that they have to wait for the Windows updates install zoom for all users of a computer be applied to their user profile, having to update the Zoom client in addition to the user profile is already irritating them as it is. Any additional suggestions are appreciated. Also, I'd consider a daily restart script on those PCs to process the pending updates without user interaction.
Hi Userone I'm having the same issue so I tried to follow your instructions but I can't see how to run the msi file with admin rights. If I right-click on the ZoomInstallerFull. If I right click on any. And if I select "Install" then it doesn't install it in the Program Files folder, and it isn't made available to all users. It's okay I found the answer here. You have to install it via the command line, not in File Explorer.

I've been trying to download Zoom and Microsoft Teams onto every computer in my organization. I thought that logging in a computer as an Admin and downloading them would automatically make them available for the other users in the same computer, but that is not the case.
However Microsoft Edge and Chrome were available for the users once installed. I have tried to look for solutions by googling stuff.
Somebody somewhere said to put a shortcut to these programs in the Public Desktop, but when I did that and logged in as another user, the shortcuts were visible in the desktop but did not work.
Instead I got error messages saying that file "has been moved". My next approach was to figure out the difference between the programs that were available to all users and those that were not.
It seemed to me that the programs that are installed in "program files" or "program files x86" are available to everyone, but those installed in the "AppData" of a particular user folder are not. So I've been thinking of copying and pasting the Zoom folder and the Teams folder in the admin "AppData" into either "program files" or "program files x86". However, I've been wondering if there is a way to set up the computer so that programs downloaded and installed from a browser can be installed into these folders and not in the "AppData" folder.
How to make a third party program available to all users in a computer? Or how to fix the shortcuts in the Public Desktop? Is there a way to get the computer to install in program files and not in AppData rather than doing copying and pasting each time?
